Very helpful. I was unit testing a bunch of things and never had to use that before working with Workspaces. Somehow ESRI let's you use a few assemblies with initializing a license, but requires that you do it when manipulating files.

It works like a charm!

Hi, i am working on the same module (dynamic symbology). On a non pooled service it worked fine , i can see these modifications, but when i worked with a pooled one others users can see what i have done, so can you tell me how to avoid that and how can i edit symbology without sharing my modifications with others users connecting in the same soc(serverContext) like a no pooled service

We were able to get the proxy working with javascript and FLEX API. The one big concern i have is, the Proxy does not seem to work with Identify tool from the ESRI FLEX Viewer Sample.

Yes you are correct. If you are just querying for the attribute you can go with queryfilter.

But if you want to search spatially than you have to use spatial filter. SpatialFilter is a type of queryfilter that allows to search spatially and also the the attribute too.

You know, I'm running into this same issue.

I've tried, however, to add the tile layers using the Virtual Earth VETileSourceSpecification, and can't even get the ArcGIS Server REST service added to the map.

I see that this article is a bit old. To your knowledge, has ESRI introduced code in the last couple of releases of their JavaScript that would interfere with the VE classes?
